    LSAT Examination Information

    Law School Admission Test – India (or the LSAT) is an all-India entrance examination. This exam is conducted by the Law School Admission Council (or the LSAC). LSAT is usually held for getting students admitted to undergraduate and postgraduate level programs. The examination is held to admit interested law aspirants for admission in undergraduate and postgraduate law courses. The law courses are offered at 85 law colleges all over India. LSAT India is assured to be conducted twice this year, in online mode. This law entrance examination is scheduled to take place as a remote proctored test so that the aspirants get the comfort of their house environment.

    LSAT Examination Syllabus and Other Information

    In this segment, we will discuss the syllabus pattern, the timings, and the number of questions to be attempted by an interested candidate in the LSAT India Exam.

    The total marks of the exam paper will be approximately 92 marks. The exam timing is of 2 hours and 20 minutes. There are 5 sections in total. The first section is Analytical Reasoning. This section has 23 questions and the time to be allotted roughly would be 35 minutes. The second section would be 1st Logical Reasoning. This would have 22 questions to be answered and within 35 minutes. The third section is 2nd Logical Reasoning that has 23 questions. These questions are to be answered within 35 minutes. The Reading Comprehension portion is the second to the last section. This section has 24 questions that are to be answered in 35 minutes. The last section is the section of the variable where there are 23 questions. The given time limit is 35 minutes.

    NOTE: Several aspiring students have doubts in the Variable Section. Most of them are unable to understand what is the section. The other sections are comparatively easier to understand. For your information, the variable section that consists of 23 questions is based on the reference from the previous sections. The Variable section has questions from various parts of the previous sections, like the Analytical Reasoning, both the Logical Reasoning sections or the Reading Comprehension Section.

    Eligibility Criteria for LSAT India Examination

    LSAC has not yet set any specific eligibility criteria set for students for sitting for the law entrance exam. However, there are certain general eligibility criteria that the aspirants should fulfill to sit for the exam that would give them admission to over 85 colleges under both UG and PG programs. 

    • For the five-year integrated LLB course, there is a set eligibility criterion. Interested applicants should have cleared their 12th Board Examinations or exams equivalent to that.
    • For the three-year LLB course, interested applicants must be having a bachelor’s degree under any stream from a reputed and recognized university or college.
    • For getting admission to Master of Laws, the aspirants should have obtained a law degree (which is the LLB degree) from a reputed and recognized university or college.

    LSAT India Important Dates

    The starting date for the online registration process for LSAT India is usually in November. You can get to know about the details from the above website. The last date for applying with the early bird prize is mid of January. Interested applicants are required to submit their filled application form within the given date and win an early bird prize. Here the guardians are needed to pay Rs 3,499 for the application fee. The last date for filling up the application form for the LSAT All-India examination before the candidates’ board exams is in March. Here the candidates will be asked to fill up and submit the application form along with the payment fee, positively before the last date of application. LSAT All-India examination (the one conducted before the board exams) is conducted in March. This year, LSAC will be conducting LSAT India as a home-based online exam. It will be held in a way that the exam is proctored remotely. After the board examinations have been conducted, the last date for filling up the application form for LSAT India is in the month of June. For this, the interested applicants are required to fill up and submit the application forms and the application fee payment before the last date of application. The application fee that is to be paid along with the application form is Rs 3,799. The form and fee are to be submitted together between February to June. The admit card for the exam is available by June 1st week. The interested applicants who have successfully submitted the application form and paid the fee can download the admit card for LSAT India Entrance Exam from their official website. LSAT India Entrance exam, 2021 will be held in June, most likely 14th June onwards. LSAC, which conducts the LSAT every year, will hold the examination this year on several days starting from 14th June. The date of the result announcement has not been declared yet. The result will be declared on the official website (the one mentioned above). The aspirants who sat for the exam are to log in with their email ID, password and download their respective scorecards.
